We had our last day in California, it’s been quite the adventure and we are excited to go back. Our friends taught us a lot about boat life and the never-ending grind of boat maintenance. We got to sail into the sea, motor around the harbor, eat amazing food and spend quality time doing what hopefully becomes our full-time occupation. There were also downsides to our trip. The weather never cooperated enough to let us try and sail to Catalina, despite our best efforts. On the day we attempted it the seas were still roaring from the storm the day before. While we could have sailed the 8 ft swells in the 36ft boat we are here to learn, not to do it just to prove that we have true grit. I’m sure we will have plenty of time in our life to check that box. Yes, we are already looking deep into our calendars and wallets to schedule the next trip. We are more determined now than ever having just gotten a taste of what life on the water can be. Look for us on our social media platforms and please check out our fledgling store. And to you Colorado, you may not have the ocean but that’s not going to slow us down.
